Dallas Times Herald.1370 viewsOriginal black and white photographic negative taken by an unidentified Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. Taken on the afternoon of November 27, 1963, this image shows the first Secret Service reenactment of the assassination of President Kennedy. A light colored convertible, intended to represent the presidential limousine, has passed the Texas School Book Depository as it travels down Elm Street, escorted by police motorcycles. The agents in the car, two of whom hold cameras, look back toward the Book Depository. Onlookers line both sides of Elm Street to watch the reenactment; memorial flower arrangements are visible on the grass on both sides of the street.

Dallas Times Herald.850 viewsOriginal black and white photographic negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. The image shows some people on Houston Street in front of the Texas School Book Depository. A crowd had gathered outside the Dallas County Sheriff's Department offices on Houston Street on Sunday morning, November 24, 1963, to await the arrival of suspected assassin Lee Harvey Oswald from the city jail. Oswald was shot before the transfer could be completed. This image was taken after news of Oswald's shooting had spread.
